“Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus” is an alleged “tick-borne virus”.
In July, 2023 some fear-mongering was being spread through baseless media reports, like the one below from www.independent.co.uk:
“Deadly tickborne virus that’s spreading in Europe ‘likely to reach UK’
Climate change is causing infectious ticks to move north in Europe, expert warns”
This prompted me to file a FOIA request with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR).
July 15, 2023:
Request filed, seeking all studies/reports in their possession, custody or control that:
scientifically prove/evidence the existence of the alleged Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) or any other alleged Bunyaviridae (showing that the alleged particle exists and causes the dis-ease that it’s alleged to cause)
and if they have no such studies, all studies that:
describe purification of particles that are alleged to be said virus(es), directly from bodily fluid/tissue/excrement, with purification confirmed via EM imaging.
As always, I emphasized that I seek allsuch records held by these agencies regardless of whether they were authored by someone working there or elsewhere, and that if such records are held and are already publicly available, I require citations.
July 17, 2023:
Request acknowledged by Roger Andoh acting as CDC/ATSDR FOIA Officer, Office of the Chief Operating Officer.
July 19, 2023:
Kendra Lightner, Office of the Chief Operating Officer provided a study that “the program office” thought I “might find helpful”. She asked that I specify the type of studies I seek if this study did not contain what I had requested.
The study did not match part 1 or part 2 of my request. No particles were purified from hosts let alone sequenced, characterized, studied with valid controlled experiments per the scientific method and shown to fit the definition of a “virus” (see page 9).
Therefore I wrote back to Kendra that same day and gave her more details about the type of records I was seeking. (I should have written “contagion” rather than “transmission”.)
July 28, 2023:
I received an email with 3 files attached: my request, a final response letter from Roger Andoh and the exact same study that I had already told Kendra did not satisfy the request.
I wrote back to Roger that same day, explaining the uselessness of the study and asking for email addresses for the FOIA Requester Service Center and the FOIA Public Liaison.
July 31, 2023:
Kendra wrote back with the email address of the current “Public Liaison”.
I wrote to the “Liaison” that same day and never received a response.

I have not bothered filing an appeal because it is already clear that virology is not, and never has been a science.
The 100% failure rate in the hundreds of “virus”-related FOI responses (see further below) align with: what is seen in the virology literature, the work of no-virus colleagues, Dr. Stefan Lanka’s historic measles triumph in Germany’s highest court which should have ended virology several years ago and key admissions from Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto (2020) and the CDC (March 1, 2021) regarding the pseudoscientific nature of virology (virologists never work with a valid independent variable – purified particles found in “hosts” – and have no potential “virus” particles to sequence or characterize).
